Holidays are over!

Made a pot of bean soup with the ham bone from Thanksgiving and a plate of salmon cakes. Still not feeling well...sniffles.

Bean Soup
1 lb. of dried beans: nothern, baby white limas, rinsed
1 can of tomatoes ( I use ones with the mild chiles)
1 can of tomatoe soup
1 can of cream corn
1 ham bone

I put the bone in the crockpot on high for about 3-4 hours. Remove the meat from the bone and set aside.
Put the bone back into the crockpot with the pot liquer.
Add remaining ingredients.
Put on low in the morning and it will be ready for dinner.

Salmon Cakes
1 can salmon
onion and green peppers sauted
2 eggs
breadcrumbs

Mix the salmon, vegetables and eggs together.
Shape into balls and roll around breadcrumbs until completely covered.
Flatten into patties and place in heated oil in frying pan. Enough oil to be about 1/4 in deep
Going to volunteer at the pantry.
