Subject: E J Russell

Dear folks:

I am pleased to advise you that the Complaint Tribunal assigned to the E J Russell matter we tried in Canton a few months back found that E J Russell should be suspended for ten months for her misconduct regarding the handling of your matters.  Ms. Russell could appeal the decision, but I do not foresee that happening as I do not believe she can afford to pay the costs of the appeal.  The Bar is not interested in appealing the decision because she will have to apply for reinstatement and demonstrate she has made restitution to each of you - a feat we do not see as being possible.

This is about as good a result as one can reasonably expect.  Of course, it does not correct what she did to you and your individual cases.  I will remind each of you that the disciplinary process is limited in what it can accomplish.  The Bar is charged with limiting future misconduct.  We, unfortunately, are not able to get money damages for you individually.  The best analogy is that we are like the district attorney's office that prosecutes a criminal.  The district attorney can bring charges that will put the criminal in jail, but he or she cannot get money damages for the pain and suffering you experienced as a result of the crime committed.

Nevertheless, I hope you are as pleased with the result as we are.  I do not foresee a situation where Ms. Russell will ever practice law again and will be able to do the damage to others as she has done to you.  A copy of the order of suspension is attached for your review.

August 2015 - Missing Time - July Synopsis

Hi God,

Thank you for the opportunity and safe travel to and return from the Sip. Had a wonderful time visiting and reuniting with friends.

Best of course, staying with the Huxtabels and Abby and Josie! I so forgot about those days as a young family. The hustle of getting everybody ready for out the door and getting to work on time ... Don't miss it.

I did so enjoy having a pool in the backyard. Never had one available as personal use. Of course, the heat and sun .. felt so good to this skin!

Sean given a ultimatum .... if I'm willing to forego law school then he has to step up by demonstrating a commitment. This resulted in a ring and securing a place. I will be relocating and we will finally move forward.

NOT! Crazy Sean has shown up a couple of times. Can I really do this with him. I've asked that he stay in therapy. He says he is and will. When he gets in this mood ... he is hurtful with his words .... "I haven't married you yet"  ... "When you return to Maryland, you don't have to return." To me, that's not safe, not providing, not stable.

I did apply for a position. So, if I do return, it will be with employment. So we will see.

Ree to arrive around the 24th. She was coming to help me drive to Costa Mesa for school. Now, she'll be coming to visit before leaving for Japan. So proud of her.

Isaac has finally agreed to go into Job Corp. That's a load off my mind.

Thank you God for peace and serenity,
Yo

August 2015 - Missing Time - June Synopsis

Hi God,

Wow, time is passing soooo fast!
My last entry is May .. really??

I returned back to the Fresh Market, with resignation submitted - one month notice given. Effective date, June 30th. I knew I didn't want to return. I know I don't want to remain in Maryland and being under-employed or not employed in my career field.

Looked into volunteering again with CMP but just not the same place .... even the building as far less hustle and bustle .. the community in CMP seems to diminish. The brighter side, is that it exists!

The Office of the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as a volunteer mediator has been very enjoyable. An opening came up for a supervisor. My supervisor gave me the heads up to apply. When I stopped by the Director's office to let her know that I applied ... now, remind you, I've worked there for about 4 months now ... she commented that there were concerns about my writing skills ... there were grammatical errors in both my cover letter and resume. Really??? So, I've been writing mediation offers and settlement letters without any concern mentioned ... but now, there's exist concern when a slot openings up for a full-time position. Not feeling this anymore ... resignation effective June 30th.

I still think about Bennett often, but I know its with rose colored glasses. Another pretty box under the Macy's tree. Don't shake it, don't unwrap ... such a disappointment .... empty on the inside.

Bought a ticket to Mississippi to visit Sean. Perhaps we can finally get a handle on this roller coaster ride of 8 years. Of course, two weeks before my arrival, he suggests cancelling and waiting 6 months. Not, I'll be going to Mississippi. He refunded my ticket costs. Time to enjoy with or without Sean.

Love always,
Yo
